Lumens describe emitted light, lux describes light reaching a surface, watts describe power and kelvin describes colour appearance.
Start with the problem, not the product photograph
Electrical compatibility and visual quality are different questions. For Lumens, lux, watts and kelvin without confusion, begin at the rating label and finish with a documented trial.

Approximate illuminance concept
E = Φ ÷ A
Variables: E is average illuminance in lux, Φ is lumens reaching the surface and A is area in square metres. Real fittings are not perfectly uniform.
Example: If an estimated 300 lumens reach a 1.5 m² surface, E = 300 ÷ 1.5 = 200 lux. Coloured glass and distance can reduce and redistribute that light.
The calculation gives a planning check, not an installation approval. Confirm the maker’s dimensions, use a full-size mock-up and let the appropriately qualified person decide structural and fixed-wiring details.
