Cap names describe mechanical interfaces; they do not guarantee that a bulb’s voltage, size, output or dimming behaviour suits the fitting.

Short answer: Read the fitting label and compare cap, voltage, lumens, kelvin, CRI, shape and dimming as separate properties.

Start with the problem, not the product photograph

Electrical compatibility and visual quality are different questions. For E27, E14 and bayonet caps explained, begin at the rating label and finish with a documented trial.
