Start with the problem, not the product photograph

Variables: C is remaining clearance, R is reference height from floor and H is the fitting bottom height from the same floor.

Example: If a cupboard door rises to 2050 mm and the shade bottom is 2180 mm, C = 2180 − 2050 = 130 mm. Add movement and installation tolerances.
